Lights
Bright sparkling lights
Like stars fallen to earth
Stars singing her worth.
Lily woke up smiling while still in bed
Her dream repeating in her head.
The stars had beckoned her
Called to her from afar
Granted her dream to be a film star.
Within her, excitement zinged
A Hollywood agent must have heard her sing.
Her phone vibrated and bleeped the once
An incoming text to announce
A successful interview, in her excitement Lily had forgotten
But the position applied for she now had gotten
To play the part of Ursula the Bear
The cuddly mascot at the local pier.
Oh well, maybe next year.
I hope she attains her dreams. Lovely story Crispina

Yea. And we didn’t have a bear at the pier, though we did have a penguin at the Marina Centre. It was my job (when I worked there) to make sure he arrived on time for promotional photo calls.

She can only go up from there. A very sweet story about goals and aspirations.

No, I didn’t. Maybe I will. I wasn’t actually thinking of her when I named the would-be star. There used to be a restaurant the other end of the prom called the Lily Langtree. Maybe I’ll share the post to Twitter

I love it, Crisp!
Our Little Storm isn’t quite dreaming of stardom yet, but she’s built for it, no doubt!
