What the Romans Did

Burgh Castle: 19 March 2021

These Roman remains of  a C3rd fort sit 5 miles distant from Great Yarmouth (when walked via the estuary bank). There and back gives me a 10-mile hike.

  1. I can just FEEL the history! I love that they used different rocks/stones/bricks. Not sure if they did that for aesthetic reasons, but it sure is pretty in its own way.
