No. Fierce and dangerous when they have a nest of eggs or when they have young. They will attack. And they’ll break your bones. You don’t mess with swans.

Yea. I saw a video on Twitter earlier in the year of a man swimming too close. That was savage. Message: Don’t mess with swans. Elegant they may be, but dangerous also

I’ve found it the easiest way with birds. I was using the Canon, out of mothballs after its summer hibernation

Hmmm… I did use my Canon for my ducks last week. And I’m off with a friend for a really good walk in a few – way later than I wanted but hey… Deciding if I forego the big camera and just use my phone.

I now take both. I was getting frustrated with the photo. It hasn’t the fine controls I need for sooting tiny subjects on dark forest floors. But great for sunsets!

I think they were just astoniched. It was their genuine reaction to what the swan on the lake was doing… and making lots of splashy noises with it
