CCC100: Soul to Soul

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #100

I walked a woodland dark and damp
Until I came upon a bank
Moss encrusted
Soft and green
Where I met the mellowest man I’ve ever seen

Not a care did crease his brow
Rich and loving was his soul
He said for me to sit a while

There we talked soul to soul
Till from this Earth we had to go
No mine, no yours, but ours
Our love, like gold
