What’s that Hot Chocolate got what we ain’t got?
Look at him, just look at him, hanging out there for the first bite of the apple.
Always the same. Never gives us others a chance.
Hogs every visitor – especially the females.
It’s not fair, that’s what it’s not.
I’d suggest we castrate him except he’s already been done.
Haha! Even horses get jealous.

Oh, all the time.
I remember an incident of offering a biscuit to one horse, and another came galloping over from I hadn’t seen where, and violently nudged the first one out. And there were no fences, and between them they’d pinned me. Horses, they’re big, you know

Oh!! I haven’t had personal contact with horses at all except rides as a kid.

They are big. And beefy. With hard feet. And sharp teeth. Yet they can be so gentle. Incredible beasts.

The part about big, I knew. And from what I’ve read, I know they are powerful creatures.

Yet they can be so gentle. Contradiction.

Indeed! Like humans, they also have contrasting traits in their personality

I confess to being intimidated by horses. I was bitten by one as a child and never took to them after that. They’re big and slightly mad, very skittish. And this short story only confirms my suspicions… 🙂

I like to keep my distance. A gate between us. Rather walk through a field of cows.
A disgrace to my family, my grandfather bred them, had a riding school too.
In later years I wished I’d learned to ride. But I think that’s only since I’ve been writing… and so often about horses

Errol someone, and Oh You Sexy Thing. And he was, in the flesh. Bumped slap into him one day in town; he was appearing at the local theatre

I tell yer, he pushed himself forward. But you can see that. And I loved that look on the little one’s face at the back. Like if looks could kill…

He he he. I’ve no doubt he did. They can be rather pushy some guys…
Yes! Too funny.

Love the name and the little story. 🙂 And yes, ma’am, animals do get jealous! Seen it happen so many times and sometimes it can get difficult to control them if you have a particularly rowdy furry friend like I did. :p

Me too. Seen a small long-term dog, totally savage an bigger newcomer. Also heard a local story of it happening to a new baby
