After the fantastical fungi forms of late, I give you a typical mushroom shape. It’s name? So many it could be that I won’t hazard the guess.

They’re beautiful! That line under the picture sounds like the start of a poem! 😀

Thank you, Susan. I harvested a great crop of fungi photos that day. A good store to see me through the winter, and into spring when the flowers start again.

What a wonderful capture (and potential challenge pic, to boot)

There’s always that overlap in the shots… to use on Sunday Post, or to use for CCC? In same vein, I keep in mind the subject matter in the photos I post for Maria’s 2020picoftheweek, so I don’t use similar for a while on my CCC. At the moment, I’m not getting out much to take new photos. I’m hoping next week… it’s just we keep having high winds and it really rocks the camera… even on a tripod.

True. You don’t want to use the same picture twice in your own blog. That makes perfect sense.
High winds are never fun unless one is inside, sheltered from it!

And living on the coast, not a lot of cover from the winds 🙂

They maybe ordinary to everyone else, but they look like cervical caps to me.. but then again, this is me you are talking to……

Yea, I can see the resemblance. But caps are caps, yea. Another might see them as Breton berets. 🙂

So is there a name for a collective of mushrooms?

Not that I’ve heard. How about A Cult?

A fungible of fungi? A mush house of mushrooms?

The photo looks like you were diving and taking photographs of jellyfish overhead. 🙂 Very beautiful
