The Spinner has escaped the web and is wandering the pages of Amazon worldwide!
While all five books of The Spinner’s Game, in both kindle versions and paperback, will be available from 21st March 2020, the kindles are available for Pre-Order.
When asked what she rated as the worst part of producing these e-books and paperbacks, the author Crispina Kemp answered, “The upload to Amazon process. It took an age.”
As might be expected when loading not one, not two, not five, but what amounts to ten books in one fell swoop.
Wizard! Crispina remarked in a self-congratulatory mood.
All books can be accessed from Crispina Kemp on Amazon

My dear blogging pal, Crispina Kemp has her five book series, The Spinner’s Game, available for pre-order on Amazon Kindle now. It’s a hugely imaginative fantasy writ on an epic scale. I can only recommend you order yours now before they skitter away!

You are so kind, Lynn, and I so appreciate it. Many a writer thinks to write is all that it takes. Upload to Amazon and watch the pennies role in. Yea. No. Perhaps the hardest work is yet to come. But it has been said of me, that I’m never happier than when talking about myself, my photos and my writing!

I read an interview a while back with a hugely successful self published author. He was from a marketing background, which I’ve noticed many of the very successful self pub authors are, and he claimed he spent half of his time promoting his work – half! Who wants to do that?

Yet the traditional publishes expect the same devotion from their authors. They’ll only promote the guaranteed high sellers.

Depressing, isn’t it? I guess it’s why they love a celebrity book – guaranteed sales, ghost written or not!

I’m sure it wasn’t always that way. It’s not how I remember it… but am I remembering reality, or as it’s portrayed in a movie?

I think you’re right. When people read more publishers student need to promote books so much. And there was just less ‘stuff’ available to occupy our time before Twitter and YouTube and social media, lures competition. Now there’s just so much clamour for our attention, we all have to shout to be heard

And shout very loud! Yea. One could say Information Overload. Except so much of it is inconsequential… People mouthing off. It used to be around the village well, now it’s all across the internet. You used to be able to google a subject and get results. Now you get adverts.

I had thought next week would be the BIG day. But I made a start, and my finger slipped and clicked the Approve and Publish… so I thought I’d best do them all. Alas, there’s no Pre-Order on paperbacks, so they must wait. I’ll email you early in the week. 🙂

I’m looking forward to the paper backs – I do still enjoy a physical book even though my Kindle app is very useful too. I’ll wait to hear from you

Nothing unless I keep on plugging it. But it’s a fine balance. Overdo it and folks get peed off. And so I’m hoping to spread the promotions over several sites and social media.

Thanks Joy. I think what kept me going was announcing my intent back in November 2017. It’s the NaNoWriMo thing. I’d made a public statement, I had to keep going. Though there were times… but I simply asked myself what I would do if not this. And I answered myself… I’d do this. 🙂

Making a public commitment is a great motivator, I agree!

Of all the books and guides I’d read, none of them mentioned how long it can take. And I suppose if you’re only uploading one book for kindle & paperback, that isn’t too bad. But five (which is ten)… glad that’s over 🙂

Gosh, have you been ill. Sorry to hear that. Lynda emailed me. That was mutually beneficial… I thank you for any input. I’m trying not to flake with exchaustion. Much better a.m.s than in the evening. Bio-rythmns I suppose. I hope you’re better soon, Judy. And thanks for bumping my pre-order sales!

Crispina take a look at this link. They’re doing a Blog Tour of writers. I think you have to be a member but you might be interested. I follow Bette Stevens and she’s a part of it. It’s an International Writers Association. When I saw Bette’s post I thought of you.

This is Bette’s link not the associations.
Just a suggestion 🙂 You may already know.
