It should be. But they want to bring someone with me to escort me home in a car. But they can swivel. I’ll get a taxi and be done. Such expectations these hospitals have. Wouldn’t it be nice to know someone with a car who would take time of work to accompany me. Hah.

Well, I beg to differ with you all, but it looks like a blob of ice cream that fell off someone’s cone. Mostly vanilla, but with a few walnuts — and maybe a mint leaf — in it.

Yech, how wonderfully disgusting! Brain blob, indeed. I would probably not even have recognized that as a mushroom, although I’d be hard-pressed to guess at what else it might be. A plant disease maybe? Something that belongs in a horror or dystopian movie!

My daughter was puzzled; wouldn’t believe me when I said it was fungus. But there’s the name of it. They come in all shapes and forms. And this autumn was exceptional for how many oddities thrust forth.
