Sunday Fungi: Beneath the Spreading Chestnut Tree

And I bring to you this Sunday…

A pretty little fungus… looks more like a flower

And lo! An undershot too…

I’m tempted to say it’s an Orange Milkcap. But then there are so many other milkcaps all of a similar colouring… we’ll say it’s a Milkcap and leave it at that

  1. I see what you mean in your last reply! Yes these ones that look more like ordinary shaped mushrooms are often the hardest to narrow down!

    Cute! Although the resemblance to a bagel occurred to me, and now I can’t see it any other way. I’m sure it doesn’t *taste* like a bagel!
