It had 2 parts and it was called “Not Another Word.” The photo you see above, was the photo for the prompt. Since then, there have been approximately 42 N & J stories posted for #CCC prompts. […]
I had to reblog this. Jen has made such a clever post to celebrate my Creative Challenge and her participation. A must read. Thanks Jen. Click the link above to read it in full.

Thanks Dale. Seven years, and the first time I’ve reblogged. But Jen had done such a good job I had to show it off to my other readers

Well Mauna Loa stands solidly in one of my favourite childhood memories. We lived in Hawaii before it was a state. I remember getting out of first grade to watch the flag go up. Mom had some music records that said Hawaii the 49th State on the label as they anticipated statehood. Alaska beat them in though. My family made a trip to Mauna Loa sometime after an eruption. I still remember wandering on the hardened lava seeing steam still coming from cracks and feeling warmth under my shoes.I was a little kid but it made quite an impression and thereafter geology was my first love.
I followed the link and the poem is adorable and what a cool tribute to your 7 year anniversary in the WordPress Community.Very clever!! 🙂

That’s a great memory you have there. Happy something on my site has stirred it. And Jen was quite extraordinary in her praise of me.

I may have a picture of me at Mauna Loa…or a slide…?? If I ever run into it I’ll have to show you.
