I can almost hear the chirrup of the grasshoppers, a sound now sadly missing.

Ah, not on this day. Been hearing them throughout the summer. Even took a photo of one last week. But… turned out to be a naff shot. But they’re definitely about.

Poppies and Field Mayflowers, typical of a field edge that HASN’T been sprayed. Thus, becoming a rarer sight. I’m lucky to live where I do.
And, ironic, the field lay beside a thoroughfare named: Fairfield Lane!

I thank you. You’ll soon discover two things about me. I have an affection for native flowers, and I love to share the photos I take of them.
The same goes for butterflies, but that tend to be a bit more lively, less likely to pose for a photo 🙂
