The paler fungi, especially those that are mushroom-coloured, aren’t the easiest subjects. They catch and reflect too much light. So I was happy with this little cluster came out right.

II thank you, and I agree. I like taking photos of things other people miss. And while that might be pylons, or a motorway bridge, best is when it flowers and fuits and fungi.

This is an excellent photo, looks tenderly enfolded by dried leaves.

I thank you, Helene.
I’m not always able to get down close to the fungi, but I have a decent camera and so can cut in close when I upload to the computer. A belated reframing, but it often improves the original shot.

Weather’s improving, Flowers are blooming. Could be changing Sunday Fungi to Sunday Flowers. Depends who it goes. Still got loads of fungi photos though.

Only wild ones, not even escapees; true British wildies. Preferrably, the less common. But that depends on what I find.

Not my point. My point being our bloody flowers are still hiding beneath two feet of snow!

I’m sorry. You could emigrate to UK. π Though we do have it wet, and never very hot, and it’s not good for the lungs …

I’ll stick to what I know and bitch about and shall simply visit. How about that?

Hasve to say, I wouldn’t move. I love this land, no matter what the problems sometimes arise. Besides, I’ve learnt its history now, and I’m far too old to start all over again.
And I do have a theory that everydody needs a focus for their groans.

I love how the colors came out here, and the composition, with the green flowers to contrast. Funny that you should use the term “mushroom-colored,” given that you’re the one introducing me to so many mushrooms of varied colors!

I have intentionally chosen fungi that weren’t ‘mushroom’ coloured, to get away from what everyone knows. But that omits so many species. Though this one is more creamy than it is mushroom. (Cream of mushroom soup?)

The cream color stands out more against the brown leaves. I just noticed that in my previous comment I typed green flowers instead of green leaves, oops.

Fret not. I took it that you meant leaves. π
