Sunday Fungi: Silver Bells and Cockle Shells

Cockle Shells

[Probably] Cockleshells: 22 November 2017

When I first took this photo (way back in November 2017) I thought this wonderfully clustered fungus was an Oyster or Oysterling of sorts. But on further delving into books, I’d say its a Cockleshell. But Oyster or Cocklshell, it’s still a beautiful fungus.

I thank you for the nudge to check my own Span-Can. Found three that don’t belong there, including this one. But … can you refresh my memory: What has a ruffled dress? 🙂

I have exchange with a fellow blogger where I have to go back and see what he was responding to! Course, we are a tad nuts and go overboard occasionally…

My brain went for a walk; it doesn’t really feel like it’s returned. If I didn’t know better I’d say I’ve taken something … illegal. Maybe someone slipped something in the yoghurt. Truly, I feel … vague. But anyway, yea, normally I’d have done that. But I just looked and .. nah, what’s she on about? Lost on me. I apolgise. I’ll be sharper tomorrow. 🙂

All jokes aside, that has happened to me: to feel vague.
        Please, no apologies necessary.

That’s okay then. Right, watch a DVD. John Malkovich supposedly playing Poirot, but it’ll be himself as usual. 🙂

Right. I shall take advantage of my mother’s invite for supper with my two sisters. Which reminds me, she asked for a couple of ingredients. So much for my nap… Got carried away reading, commenting, and not writing, blogs…

Was it a good evening with your sisters and mother?
The movie weren’t bad. It had been made for TV (BBC) and come in three parts, and lasted 3 hours. And I had wanted an early night! Towards the end I forgot it was John Malkovich as he seemed to slip into character. Strange.

Yea. Towards the end. That’s when things started to get a bit. Maybe that’s himself under pressure. 🙂
And now, gotta go. Food to prep, water bottles to fill, map to check etc … off into the woods today, after a double bus ride.

I thank you. And were I more knowledgeable I would say more. But I won’t encourage folk to gather and use what can too easily be misidentied. Yet what I will promote is their vital role in supporting life on earth. 🙂
