This bridge marks the boundary of city and country with Norwich to one side, and the parishes of Costessey and Hellesdon to the other.
I claim it for #2019picoftheweek challenge title: Bridge, cos … it is.

Great photo! I have visited “Kotsee” a few times, but never seen this beauty.

Driving from Costessey to Norwich (used to be the A47 but they changed it when they made the Southern Bypass and I haven’t since needed to know what it is) take road to Hellesdon (Marlpit Lane … used to be opposite Larkman pub, which is now something like Lidl’s). Midway through you pass over a bridge. This is the bridge.
Alternatively, take Marriott’s Way out of Norwich, and a few miles along is this bridge, Cross the road, you’re into Costessey. A great walk. I usually take the Way as far as Thorpe Mariott where I catch a bus back into Norwich (Seven miles total, and plenty to see on the way. Great place for fungi, and rivers, and bridges,, both over and under, damselflies and butterflies. And graffeti.
And, if you’re sharp-eyed, you might discover the Costessey Henge (one of Costessey’s best-kept secrets). 🙂

Nice! And that blue. I love how it’s reflected in the water. Nice shot.

I thank you. It was difficult to chose which bridge to use. Thursday’s walk too me over, and under some seven bridges. Some I have featured before in other ways. In fact last year’s ‘Gliitering’ was taken fron this bridge. But this bridge won out. It was as much as anything that fine smattering of emergent life seen on the not-totally greenery. 🙂

It’s an atmospheric bridge, definitely a liminal place.

I thank you. I liked that there’s a very clear indication of a change in seasons too — like we’re on the edge of winter and spring, as well.

A liminal place especially for you.
I’m trying to think what would be the equivalent out of my life, but nothing so picturesque comes to mind.

More a liminal place for a friend. She ended her life there, close on to 40 years ago. But it’s also a physical liminal place, and as the photo was taken, a seasonal one. .
