Not a plate of soggy lettuce, but a bracket fungus host to algae, not an unusual phenomenon especially in woodland.

    Oh, algae! I was very confused by just seeing the photo in my email without seeing the explanation, wondering how I’d missed knowing about bright green mushrooms. I agree with VIolet and Dale, it does look almost edible — if you don’t look very closely, at least.
