Bright with greenery to start the year. I thought this woodland photo apt for the #2019picoftheweek challenge title: Take a Seat.
Yea, well, Ivy did—take it, that is.

Had to go green for the new year. Enough images coating our screens with monochromatic ice and snow. 🙂

So darn true. Which is why I seem to find myself sharing my hydrangea bush every time the sun makes it glow…

Ah, but hydrangea … lacy caps!

I kind of like their papery look in the winter…

I have seen them used to good effect in flower arrangements.

Now this I love. It is the decay of the manmade object as it returns to nature that piques my interest. Excellent choice!!

I thank you. I think it works on several layers, but definitely the juxtaposition of manmade v natural.

I love this!! It reminds me of Little Shop of Horrors. And those greens are so vibrant which make the shot even better. 🙂

It’s wonderful what British rain can do. Though the day had turned dry it had started inclement.

I echo Dale: the colours are amazing. A bright and vibrant beginning to the new year 🙂

That’s what I though. Far better than the current greys.

I’m not against the dull and the murky on the whole, – I love the winter – but sometimes, one longs for spring…

My feeling entirely. I thought it a welcome change after the previous almost monochrome photo (Moody Hemlock)

Wonderful photo! I love the colors, and the way the light hits the vine growing up the bench. But unless I’m wearing my long rain coat, I’ll pass on taking that seat… 🙂

Nah, I was happy to sit. I’d been walking, mostly hills, since early morning. Trees. Birdsong. And somewhere dry-ish to sit and tuck into my lunch.

It looked less than dry-ish to me, but I’m glad you found it comfortable.

Hey, compared with some of the places we find to stop for lunch, this was luxury!

My pleasure, Jen. What sense in taking the photos if they can’t be shared and enjoyed 🙂
