Nah. Can’t see. Eyes closed. But, can’t wait to see what you make of the swan. Damned thing, came so close I thought it would bite me!

I had to camera on multi-shot. Just hold the botton and not does the camera keep on chooting, but adjusts the focus too. The swan was then waddling out of the lake when I started. I just followed it through the view-finder. Then, oh, look, I can see every drop of water on its feathers. Yea, cos it was standing less than a foot from me. It was cold winter, I think it was hoping for food. But I had nothing for it. I’m sure it gave me the evil eye as I walked away.

Well I did ask him if he had a green card (can’t act in the UK without one) but he shook his head. Thing is, this was in a country park, amid notices that asked the public not to feed the birds. Poor swannie, he was probably used to food, but this was January, the park deserted, and in a brief break in a rainy day. I’d have taken him in the cafe with me but … no animals allowed. Just as well, they charged a bomb for a coffee.

Ah well. You did your due diligence. And yes, it is best not to feed them – especially as most peeps thinks it’s OK to give bread, which it is not. And I totally understand your big heart at that time of year, being cold and all. And you thought of it, which counts. Not your fault no animals allowed. And what is with this coffee joints charging an arm and a leg?

Itsy-bitsy cug. Two sips, it’s gone. Ridiculous price, even it were served by the mug. It’s not a place I’d normally nip into for a coffee, but the rain came down and I needed to shelter.
BTW, I’m glutten free, so I had no bread for it anyway.

Indeed. I wish my neighbours would follow suit and not feed the seagulls. And I don’t mean the small Black Headed Gulls. I mean the turkey-sized Black Backed Gulls that treat our roofs like pseudo-cliffs come the spring.

Oh man… My father used to call seagulls “Shit Hawks” because they used his boat for a toilet… and I cringe at thinking how big a mess your big-ass birds cause…

That’s not the worst of it. It’s the need to wear a safety helmet every time you go outside so they are so protective of their nesting site. Though I will admit, action is worse in the shared courtyard; I can come and go without incurring damage, but I’ve given up on growing flowers out there, it’s not safe to water them!
