They hunt us, the Hunters
Why, what have you done?
Told some lies, sold some fun
They catch us, the catchers
Strip us and thrash us
Inside the ‘sylum. Done.

I like the word play here. It creates a good rhythm and adds a creepiness to the poem that evokes the atmosphere of an asylum. I can imagine some poor unfortunate chanting this…

Stress, I claim. Not nasty stress. Just juggling and wanting to get things done so I can stop to eat. So I get a tad manic … and that;s when the sillies come out. Lo!

I feel ya, Sistah! My house is officially up for sale – again – by a new agent and I have a visit on Saturday morning at 9:30. I work a Christmas party Friday night until probably 2 am!! Ugh. PLUS, I have to get the boys up which shall be quite fun… Not.

That’s where silliness raises its head and hauls you through. Though I have been accused of being 1) drunk, 2) stoned. Nah, it’s just me. Try it. It’s a wonderful stress-buster. Honest. 🙂

No worries…. I can run around and dance with the best of ’em to relieve stress!
Your poetry was fab, by the way…

It does have a grand rhythm to it, this little snippet, and a clear voice too, which I love. That choppiness of phrase works well for the subject. I may be too late to join in (I’m always too busy at work Wednesday through to Friday to write on those days) but, Hell, I’m gonna do it anyway. Just love that photograph – where is it?

Scroll back in the Reader. It was posted on Wednesday, afternoon. The is no closing day.
And I thank you for the comment. As I said, it’s the dance lessons. Or the years in the theatre. 🙂

Keep watching. There are plenty more to come. It’s a way to use the photos that don’t usually get seen. But we’ve Sammi to thank for it. Her suggestion.
