Crimson’s Creative Challenge #4

They hunt us, the Hunters
Why, what have you done?
Told some lies, sold some fun
They catch us, the catchers
Strip us and thrash us
Inside the ‘sylum. Done.

  1. I like the word play here. It creates a good rhythm and adds a creepiness to the poem that evokes the atmosphere of an asylum. I can imagine some poor unfortunate chanting this…

It does have a grand rhythm to it, this little snippet, and a clear voice too, which I love. That choppiness of phrase works well for the subject. I may be too late to join in (I’m always too busy at work Wednesday through to Friday to write on those days) but, Hell, I’m gonna do it anyway. Just love that photograph – where is it?
