And here we are again, my fungi fiends. Not many this week but we’re grateful for what we have. So, feast your eyes…
πΌ Google says Artist’s Bracket. My guide book says Southern Bracket. Take your pick!Β π½ These are definitely Oyster mushrooms
πΌ Without a doubt a Shaggy Parasol andΒ π½ Turkey Tails
πΌπ½β¬ And while these might look like 3 different fungi, they are the various stages of growth of the Dryad’s Saddle, aka Pheasant’s Wing
And that, my fungi fiends, is all for this week. Praying for rain cos at the moment the land’s too dry to encourage many fungi

I enjoyed looking at those fungi. They look awesome, but I don’t think they’re safe to eat…

Very few are. Even if they’re not lethal, they’ll likely upset the intestines. And if not that, then they’ll taste disgusting. Or they’ll be tougher than toasted wood. Or be full of insects! So few are edible

That’s so gross! That’s why we have to be very careful about that. We have to choose ones that are safe to eat.
