The flower fairies were in distress
The internet left them in a mess
Wouldn’t be so bad but Postman Pat
Now retired, was happy to laze with his black and white cat
The graceful fairies put out a call
For someone with a single foot who wasn’t likely to fall
Fast to reply was Sidney Snail
Offering his services as the Snail Mail

I can relate to that. A physical mail is indeed a snail mail because it’s very slow to be delivered. E-mails are instant.

Thank you. I miss the old snail mail, slow though it us when compared to emails

Thank you, Wolfgang. I was concerned that no one would recognise the name!

We‘d be watching and singing along many of the episodes and even had books. The best one we lost at the barbers, Postman Pat and the Christmas baby …

Lovely poem, Crisp, and so nice reading that Postman Pat is a beloved character.

Lovely response, Crispina. I can relate. How we used to wait for the postman to bring a letter in those days.

Gosh yes. I was in a long-distance relationship. Airmail letters 30+ pages long.
