My friend would look down the stairs and point to the posts in the surf. “Follow those, and you’d reach the kingdom of the sea gods.”
I laughed.
We walked down and stood on the shore. He pointed to a pale fish in the water. “See that? It couldn’t exist in the wild unless the sea gods protected it.”
One stormy night my friends opened the door to the beach. He was never seen again.
Or was he? For the next time I stood down by the posts, I saw two pale fish. And I swear one of them stared at me before flipping its tail and swimming away.

Pisces, the sign of the fishes, are renowned for their flights of fancy. And I’ve a feeling that is your birth sign. Or, perhaps Aquarius. Yes, that would work as well

Ah, but possibly you have Mercury in Pisces, since Mercury is never more than a sign and a half away from the sun
