🔼 We know of two paths through Hethel Great Woods. This is the start of one. But we know beyond that corner is a very wet meadow. We retreat, but not before we’ve taken photos 🔽 My very favourite wall

🔼 A wonderfully old cherry tree in Hethel Great Woods 🔽 Hethel hosted the USAF during World War II. I wonder if that’s the source of the various buildings dotted throughout the woods

Such a delicious selection. I have saved the sixth shot, the wall with the old door in it to use in the future on my BCD Series- as the inspiration for the story stuck me immediately! Lmk if I have your permission to use it on a post unrelated to CCC.

Thank you, Dale. That’s the last woodland walk of 2025. Tomorrow we’re walking the camera along the estuary. Next weeks, weather permitting, it’ll be a beach walk. Not sure what comes next

The estuary and beach are on hand so less time taken with travelling. But also, the flowers, butterflies and now the fungi are at a low ebb, so I need to turn my lens to something else

Mostly my photos are taken in the countryside beyond the town walls (and our town does have prober town walls). But yes, the green, feasting our eyes before the winter brown begins
