A pair of gulls hover in the strong winds that cooled an otherwise sizzling day at the beach. Truly, they couldn’t compete. We watched them trying to reach the sea. Incoming tide didn’t help them any.

These are a species that are seldom seen inland. They don’t swoop down and steal the food from your mouth. They truly are sea gulls. And may your weekend be kind to you 💖💖💖

I have another with the one in front looking back as if checking to see if its companion of faring any better. But they were immature gulls, and not so attractively plumaged
