What’s the real story behind this beautiful poem, Crispina?

In Norfolk, the local name for ladybirds is Bishy Barnaby, named for an early bishop of our region. Carrot flowers are known as St Anne’s Lace (the red central floret is said to be St Anne’s blood) We have a rhyme we say if a ladybird lands on us: Ladybird, Ladybird, fly away home, your house is on fire and your children are gone, all except one whose name is Anne and she hid under a frying pan
