CCC044: Lost in a Time Warp

The hare stopped at the gate
Looked at his watch
Declared he was late
Truth
For he’d been expected two centuries back
Back before this house was built
And the garden laid
When this gentle place still held his nest
Late, lost in a time warp, lost his family, the penalty paid.

    • Yes. Maybe that’s how I felt when I looked at that house (not exactly the first time). While it looks like an Austenesque house, at the rear are all the trappings of a working farm of long standing

I love Nancy’s comment! Poor Mr. Hare! But expecting them to hold your reservation for two centuries was a bit over the top! heheheh
