     Not everyone would agree, but I do. They have such personality. But they can cause carnage, as my lawn has witnessed. Sad to see the smaller birds taken

     Don’t they ever. I see just about every (native) crow species in my garden, and jackdaws when I go to shop.

     Sorry to disagree but the raven’s bill is thicker. Apart from which, the raven is totally absent from East Anglia, where this photo was taken. It’s a carrion crow
