This lake is available for fishing. It forms part of the local water company’s reservoir. The steep sides are wooded in pine

Nothing like as hot as further south, but we do get the occasional drought with water rationing. Then the grasses crisp up and turn the palest cream

And always has. Nothing new there though perhaps now the change is less welcome (I don’t imagine our Victorians complaining that the winters weren’t as bitterly cold as it used to be and they could skate on the Thames)
