A few additional shots from our walk on 28th December 2023, but no fungi, few berries, yet seed heads and birds persist. Enjoy
Shelducks feeding on the freshly exposed mudflat
Their distinctive markings make them unmistakable, even at a distance
Snails. Are they hibernating? Or just hiding away?
I love reeds in all their seasonal colours
Yay! There is life!
And we can always rely on ivy!
Meagre picking this time of year. But as the year proceeds, so the colours will return
Nice wintery collection. Good catch with the snails by your keen eyes … and tall grass plums are always a good sight.
