Alas, they are not lasting. We’ve now had to much rain, the fallen foliage has all turned black

This is the way of nature. They’ll decompose and give nourishment to new vegetation

Thank you, Dale. We’re now hitting a low spot. It’s been so wet, the colours are giving way to browns and blacks. Even in my garden. I cherish the two remaining copper/gold leaves on my weigela

At least you still have a smidge of colour. Not so much over here! Plus there was some rain that ruined most of our snow. The in-between times are the hardest 🙂

Yes. This is why next walk is the beach. Hopefully get a sunrise. Might be lucky and see a seal. And finish off at a riverside park where we usually find geese and swans.
Oh, and the dunes has lichen and moss and if we’re lucky, fungi!

If the weather obliges. We’ve had to postpone till tomorrow cos of VERY high winds. Now tomorrow forecast includes rain (but, quote, “Isolated rain”, so not giving up on it) so I have to check with my daughter

I like the color and lighting of your pictures.
