CCC254: Stella’s Dream Turned Tragedy

Stella dreamt of startling dances
On the boards of the pier-end theatre
Pirouettes and comic stances
And an audience who’d laugh and cheer.

But an autumn storm swept the shore
Washed away the potential comedy
Tore away the theatre boards
Turned Stella’s dreams to tragedy
