25th August, weather forecast promised HEAT. I know, I said, let’s bus to Pakefield, and if we feel like it we can walk the beach to Kessingland. It’s not very far. Mmm. Yes. Famous Last Words.
Already first thing the sun is a killer…
But we love boats, so we potter around taking photos…
Some have seen better days…
But others are enchanting…
The tide was high when we arrived, but now is going out. Perfect for a shore-walk…
At this point we track closer to the cliffs…
Erosion. Though the poppies make it look more like the Levant. I expect to see a camel…
Dunes here are extensive…with salt-slacks…
The red is glasswort…
Oh look, another boat…
But by now I’m tired in this heat. And when I get home and measure the distance we’d walked, it was twice what I’d thought. Oops. But it was a beautiful walk.
