17th July 2023 the light was just right for showing the wayside flowers to best effect. So, enjoy…
Poppies and Scented Mayweed, arable friends…
Poppies and thistles, roadside friends…
Scented Mayweed…
Field Scabious…
Bladder Campion…
Field Bindweed… pretty in pink candy stripes!
Thistles… but I don’t know which species…
Cornflowers…
And Wild Carrot!
Tansy aka Bachelor’s Buttons…
Great Horsetail and Marjoram, unlikely bed-mates since one likes it wet and the other dry…
That’s all for now, folks. More next week.
I wish I could identify plants that easily.

A lifetime of seeing & checking & naming. But I do sometimes get it wrong.

What a fantabulous collection, Crispina! I cannot pick a favourite.
My backyard is covered in wild carrot… The bunnies and groundhogs seem to like it. π

Thank you. As summer nears the end, the flowers grow less. Now we have hedgerows full of berries. They will appear here on WP, but currently my posts are a month behind my walks

Thank you. Apart from, yes, I do love the walks, what makes them special to me is looking for subjects for the camera that I can share with you all
