Here’s how it works:
Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE
Here are some suggestions:
- An answering photo
- A cartoon
- A joke
- A caption
- An anecdote
- A short story (flash fiction)
- A poem
- A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
- An essay
- A song—the lyrics or the performance
You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:
- Your creative offering is indeed yours
- Your writing is kept to 150 words or less
If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it.
Here’s wishing you inspirational explosions. And FUN

If Joshua brought down the walls of Jericho, could it not also be said that Dr Gregory House, brought the House down? And am I the only one to regret House’s passing?
Kindness is not a simple act, rather it is a reflection of your soul

This unusual outdoor stone pulpit was created by the 8th Earl of Foreclaw for his brother-in-law, Rev. Reginald Weymyss. The earl had sworn that no “reformed” preacher would ever conduct a service in his chapel, but was forced by his wife, the redoubtable Anne of Arrandale, to give the living to her brother. For the sake of domestic peace but to keep true to his oath, he erected this pulpit just beyond the walls of the castle chapel. It is said Rev. Weymyss once preached an entire sermon in a thunderstorm without getting wet, but there were no witnesses to this miracle.

Brilliant, Brian. Made me laugh from the first few words through to the last. Excellent. I’m still chuckling. 🙂

This is so fantastic. It feels like it’s in a history book.

Thank you. There’s a reason for that: I trained as a historian.
