Here’s how it works:
Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE
Here are some suggestions:
- An answering photo
- A cartoon
- A joke
- A caption
- An anecdote
- A short story (flash fiction)
- A poem
- A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
- An essay
- A song—the lyrics or the performance
You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:
- Your creative offering is indeed yours
- Your writing is kept to 150 words or less
If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it.
Here’s wishing you inspirational explosions. And FUN

I was hoping it might be inspirational for something creepy! Welcome to my parlour, said the spider to the fly!

“According to the local superstition, you should never walk between the two doorways.”
“Why?”
“The manor house that stood here was cursed. The heir promised marriage to a woman to bed her, and when he didn’t follow through, she cursed him and everyone who set foot in the house.”
“But the house is gone! It’s just a ruin.”
“I know. But I’m telling you what the locals say.”
Rhea snorted. And to show what she thought, she marched right over to the large doorway, went through it, cross where the house had stood, and walked through the other doorway.
Of course, she didn’t come out the other side. And I was rid of her, as I intended.
