Sunday Picture Post: Crabs, Lobsters, Sand and Sea

14th June, the day dawns bright and we’re heading to the North Norfolk coast, to visit one of my favourite towns, more of a fishing village than a glitzy resort. Sheringham. Please do join us.

The fishing here is small scale, the catch of crabs and lobsters simply delicious.

There is no wharf, jetty, harbour. There’s only the sharply sloping shore. Boats have to be secured!

When tide is high the beach consists of sea-tumbled stones, almost all are flints. When tide is low the beach is this beautiful flat expanse, inviting barefoot strolling
