21st November, the day begins dull and wet. But we stick to our plans to walk the rural lanes of Bracon Ash and Hethel.
TheΒ trees are still holding leaves, the leaves for the most part still holding green. The oak is beginning to turn, a clear signal that winter won’t be long in coming
Bracon Ash church snuggles amongst the colourful trees
The village is a mix of the old and the new, of hidden and private, and blatantly ‘out there’
Heading into Hethel…
Hethel is a name you might recognise. Home of Team Lotus.
And Hethel Great Wood
Where they still chop and store firewood…makes me think of stone dolmens
Look! Is that the sun? But it doesn’t last long
I love this old place, though it looks more inviting on a sunny summer’s day
That’s all for now folks. Have a good Christmas!
Such charming pictures

Thank you, Sadje. It was a dull day which is a shame for those woods are beautiful when the sun shines! πβπβπ
