A variety of photos taken on our walk through Norwich and around Mousehold Heath on 21st October 2022
The “corner” house in ox-blood pink
In the greyness of mist…colour seen through the arch of St James Bridge
Mist and cobwebs, this must be October
Sycamore and ivy…
Hawthorn usually turns a bronzed-red in autumn, but here… such unusual colours
Oak leaves. But what colour is this?
Pretty heather in the bedewed grass
A speckled wood butterfly… unexpected on this day
The colour of riverside trees seen reflected in the river
And for this week we must end here. More next week
That house is a real standout. I love the colour 😊

It’s a traditional Norfolk & Suffolk colour. It used to be ox-blood mixed with lime-wash but now it’s produced by paint manufacturers 😊😊😊
