Crimson’s Creative Challenge #194

Here’s how it works:

Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE

Here are some suggestions:

  • An answering photo
  • A cartoon
  • A joke
  • A caption
  • An anecdote
  • A short story (flash fiction)
  • A poem
  • A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
  • An essay
  • A song—the lyrics or the performance

You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:

  • Your creative offering is indeed yours
  • Your writing is kept to 150 words or less

If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it
If you include Crimson’s Creative Challenge as a heading, WP Search will find it (theory)
by ‘Searching’ in the WP Reader (fingers crossed)

Here’s wishing you inspirational explosions. And FUN

They were deathly afraid of the witching hour when this clock was designed, so they made it in the image of the sun and put a cross at the “12” mark. Unfortunately, we’re on daylight saving time half the year, and then the clock’s protection fails altogether.

    • Well done you for noticing the cross. It is, of course, to be expected on a cathedral . And I love the idea of the clock’s protection failing cos of daylight saving

I stole the idea from Kingsley Amis, who used a version of it without ever explaining what was going on. (In “The Green Man,” the Devil is an hour late because he does NOT keep Daylight Saving.)

I’m almost late. It’s Tuesday here. Is it Tuesday where you are?
I wrote a story this week. I hope it isn’t too long. I had to be specific.
Hope you enjoy a snippet of my life. Thank you for hosting.
