We don’t expect to find much of interest in winter on the dunes, swept by salt-laden winds. Yet I did find a few subjects for my lens.
In a sheltered spot…
It’s a succulent, but I’m not sure what
Yay! Fungi
And lichen, the earliest coloniser of post glacial lands
Sea buckthorn. I was surprised at how many berries left though they’ve lost their deep orange shine
And the leaves of sea buckthorn… what few remain
Sedge holds its colour no matter what comes its way
What comes is wind… and the wind sweeps the sand… to cover everything
Tree lupin. A hard frost will blacken them, but not the salt and the wind
And a final photo, one I couldn’t resist, seen on Lowestoft pier…
That’s all for now, folks. Wishing you all Peace, Love & Contentment in the coming year
Lovely pictures

Thank you, Sadje. Difficult this time of year to find *fresh* subjects. But this… yea, I loved these photos too
