Wood Pigeon: 6th December 2021
The Wood Pigeon more often perches on hedgerow trees and in woodland. Here it’s perching on my fence (photo taken through my window).

So many birds (and the squirrels) sit on that fence. And I can take the photos without moving from my desk. Unfortunately most don’t stay there for long 🙂

Took an incredible shot yesterday, really pushed it… from desk 6′ to window, another 10′ to shrub, then through the bare branches to a little dunnock (size of a sparrow) and it came out perfect. I am so chuffed!

Are you kidding! Well, I did clean them cos they were dusty. But now they’re all smears. But the camera focuses on the larger target and ignores the small. Yay! 🙂

We have several species of pigeons/doves. This is the largest and most colourful. He (or she) has taken up residence in my garden… with mate. But I expect it’s only for the winter. 🙂
