A nightmare, I know it is
I’m LUCID dreaming
I can wake from it

I struggled to wake
I woke in my bed

True story. I pulled myself through 5 layers of sleep to reach proper consciousness and my own bed. It was frightening.

    • It was. What I omitted for lack of space was one of the wakings there was a little red imp setting on my shoulder (I was lying on my side). I told it to f-off, that is didn’t scare me. And then tried to wake again

    Can’t beat you at that: I’m only dreamed about dreaming. Though I have dreamed I’ve been killed, and managed to somehow get out of the situation.

  4. Wanting to wake and not being able to, yes, I can imagine that is frightening. And a bad dream stuck on repeat…very atmospheric, I could feel the tension in this one 🙂

    • It’s only happened like that yhe once. Usually once I realise I’m dreaming I can get out of it. Though sometimes I realise I’m dreaming and DON’T want to get out of it. Oh, just stay a little bit longer, I’m enjoying this. But no, I wake
