Photos were taken on my walk from Acle to South Walsham and back, 15th August 2020

A late head of honeysuckle: 15 August 2020

Elderberries causing heavy heads to hang: 15 August 2020

Rowan berries: 15 August 2020

Mugwort and Wild Oats: 15 August 2020
The following two photos were taken to prove that in this part of England straw is baled into those giant toilet rolls, although elsewhere the bales might be square and only hay is thus treated.

Barley… for brewing: 15 August 2020

Wheat: 15 August 202
And you can’t wheat and barley without poppies. Blurred. The wind was blowing.

Poppies, almost over: 15 August 2020

Soft rush: 15 August 2020
“Green grow the rushes, O”

And me, the writer, the photographer, the walker, making a rare appearance

Thought I’d treat you. It was an accident. The camera switched itself and… lo!

Thank you, Ramyani. Glad you like. When I see flowers or berries that I like, it’s good to take photos of them to share with others

I thought I looked a bit like a very young Queen Elizabeth (how’s that for arrogance)

What wonderful colors — in the flowers, and also I can finally see the purple in your hair, nice!

It was somewhat battered by the wind. Looks best when freshly done!

Wow, each photograph was so beautiful but the last one caught me offguard. You are really beautiful, not only from the outside but also from inside. How are you doing? Schoolwork forced me a little hiatus but I guess I’m temporarily back. How is everything going? Missed you a lot ♡

I’ve been curious, but I must ask now: how long are these walks to other towns? If I tried to walk to the nearest towns/cities/townships, it would take me the whole day just in the walking.

From Great Yarmouth to Burgh Castle is about 4.5 miles. From Acle to South Walsham, 4. Double it cos I have to come back.
It’s hard to give measurements. These are parishes, and parishes share boundaries, so you could move two paces and walk from one parish to another. But at the heart of the parish is the village (at least in East Anglia), but that heart might be at the further reach, or the nearest, or all places in between.

So it’s partially a naming convention. Hmm… well, American places tend to be far apart. I could probably walk to get a snowcone if I felt like getting run over on a busy road in the process.

US is considerably larger than UK. Our lands were full long before America was discovered.

Yay to all of these!
1) I think the poppies one, even with the blur, is lovely. It looks like one you could get printed in black and white on canvas, paint in some colors, and it would probably just look so fancy. Somewhat impressionist, yet also detailed.
2) You look very nice in your photo! Love the hair. Love the boldness to pick something beautiful and unique.

Thank you. My hair has always been my thing. I don’t wear jewellery, I don’t wear makeup, I care nothing for fashion. But my hair… yea.
