The brighter the light
The deeper the shadow
All artists know this
Why then expect our loved ones who shine to have no defects?
Why expect them to be through-and-through perfect?
Why be shocked or feel betrayed when we discover our assumptions incorrect?
The light casts a shadow of the self, distorted
Perhaps the self that weโve not courted
But thatโs no reason to leave the loved one unsupported
Love both the light and the shadow, love them both unthwarted.
You are a loving and caring soul, Crispina.
This is so true and wise.

There have been further developments. I’ve been trying to compose an email in my head all morning. Too much for a chat. And not just about that.
I’ll email shortly. It’ll probably be a long one ๐

Just be you. Don’t have to “keep it clean” so to speak.

That’s not the problems, it’s explaining backstory

Is that to mention of email, or contents of email?

The mention of email. I would not even allude to anything you write me personally, out here! ๐

Funny… I was searching for a quote to use on my response to this challenge, and fell upon this one – you could have used it, eh?
โThe brightest flame casts the darkest shadow.โ

Ah, maybe that’s where I picked it up from, since I have read that. Though I think I could have taken it from Jung, long years before that

There ya go! I figured it had nestled itself into your memory banks…

Thanks. Of course, it couldn’t have been a personal observation… as a photographer, and before that a graphic artist?
