With seagulls loud

The surf breaking at our feet
Our dogs far away and chasing

Ah, meeting people – those times are precious. I met hubby at freshman orientation in college. I met my best friend through an introduction by another friend, then a subsequent invite to pick strawberries together. This poem captures that “meeting” feeling, and I love it.
