Lovely images.
Yesterday, on my walk with Zeke, I cam upon a house with a MOUNTAIN of cut up trunks. Unfortunately they had to have six ash trees cut down. They tried to treat them twice but had to give in…

I’d have been wary of building there. Ash grows on damp soil.

Well, I dunno but there have been so many people (I dunno how damp our town is) that have been forced to cut down their trees because of the disease. Sad.

Of course, the trees will grow away from damp… but it is their preference. I wonder what their problem. Fungus? Some kind of burrowing grub? Something affecting their roots? It is indeed sad. I like the ash.

A burrowing grub, then, yea? Nasty. Needs treating with… something equally nasty and probably environmentally harmful.

Methinks so. The family with the mountain of wood were telling me they treated twice, to no avail. And at $1K+, they had to say good-bye.

That first photo looks so other-worldly, especially with the close-up and the focus like that; as though it’s an alien landscape, or some sort of sea creatures. Cool!

It’s my favourite. Looks great with various colour treatments.
