Yes the architecture is spectacular with some. I’d love to visit churches where you are, as they’re a lot older than what they are here.

We do have some old ones, though the oldest pasts aften hidden, being the foundations, else overbuilt by later generations.

The ones featured here all had foundations that date at least to the early Norman period, and remnants of general fabric dating back to early C12th.

Nice to think of someone still doing the flowers for the church even when services are no longer going ahead.

Ah, but this was two years ago, and in a rural area where the church is still a strong force in the smaller communities

I haven’t seen an arrangement in a long time. I love the forsythia and especially the white Lilies.There’s some kind of fir in there too. They’re all beautiful. Thank you.

I’m ok. I’ve got a bit of a cold but no fever. So, I’m not worried 😊 I got up early and posted my song lyric story and went back to bed I was so tired. But, I’m fine now. Glad to hear you’re ok!

I have used the lily arrangement before, a couple years back. But otherwise I haven’t used them before. Ah, no, one has a fantastic sunray carving over its south door. I’ve used that.

Nah, they’re a commonly found window construction. The same mason would work on most of the churches in an area.

I could post fifty photos of fifty church windows and they’d all look very much alike, yet all come from different churches. I could do the same with church doors, and wilth towers, both round and square. Thus I do tend to look for those that are different. But like I said, there were only so many workmen to go round, and I expect the masons’ guild laid down strict guidelines. 🙂

The lighting in the first and the last is amazing! The second one got kind of washed away by the similar background. And the third could have been more beautiful had there been a bigger version of that floral arrangement (of course not the photographer’s fault! 😋)but still, they all look great. And flowers – when do they not brighten up your mood! 🙂
