Welcome to my weekly challenge—open to all—just for FUN, FUN, FUN
Here’s how it works:
Every Wednesday I post a photo (this week it’s that one above.)
You respond with something CREATIVE
Here are some suggestions:
- An answering photo
- A cartoon
- A joke
- A caption
- An anecdote
- A short story (flash fiction)
- A poem
- A newly minted proverb, adage or saying
- An essay
- A song—the lyrics or the performance
You have plenty of scope and only two criteria:
- Your creative offering is indeed yours
- Your writing is kept to 150 words or less
If you post a link in the comments section of this post I’ll be able to find it
If you include Crimson’s Creative Challenge as a heading, WP Search will find it (theory)
by ‘Searching’ in the WP Reader (fingers crossed)
Here’s wishing you inspirational explosions. And FUN.

This is another view I frequently pass. I do declare, I must live in a visually interesting town. Shame about the proliferation of social problems. 🙂

Will it soon be finished? 🙂

Are you implying our tow gaol is incomplete. Well, it is true, the pavement has risen somewhat since it’s original construction. Or maybe it was originally a dungeon?

Memo to Royal Prison Keeper
Re: Housing of noble and non-noble dragons
It has come to Our attention that Duke Burning-Down-the-House, a dragon from Volcania, found guilty by Our Sublime Justice of treason, wanton destruction of property, and flatulence, is being confined in the Villeins’ Bog Pit, along with sundry other dragons, both common and enserfed. We have received and endorsed a petition from the Noble Houses, observing that under the Golden Charter of 1312, no member of Our Treasured Nobility will be confined with common criminals. We command you to comply with this stipulation forthwith.
By Commandment of His Most Sacred Majesty, the Instrument of God, Sovereign Lord of All the Lands of the Nation of Adam and Noah, Keeper of the Sacred Paper Airplane, Etc., Etc.

But one thing bothers me. What happens to the Sacred Paper Airplane when it rains? Or maybe it’s varnished.
And I do like your imagination 🙂

I may have to word this one up at a later date, but I believe the story-line made it through the editing process….

It did indeed, and I enjoyed the reading. It amused too, for various reasons

I like what you did with it. Though I would say the river baubles were more likely to come from a local quarry… as they still do.

I know … creative license liberties I took with this … 😀

It is permitted. Where would we writers be without creative licence… 🙂

Indeed! 🙂 I grew up reading Jules Verne … Can you imagine if he couldn’t have taken any creative license?!??

And we could fill the entire WP server with the names of creative *offenders*, blessed be their names.
