My place faces east-south-east. Great for sunrises. If I’m awake. But then there are buildings between me and the sea… boohoo. So it narrows the view.
But I thought for this week’s #2019picoftheweek challenge, I’d pick the title Sunrise, and this pic might do…

Lovely shot! Those clouds, the rising pinkish-orange, the blue sky, the house and trees dark…

I thank you. It was taken one morning before venturing out on a walk.

You did. I received. I’m impressed. I’m envious. 🙂

Look at those early morning clouds! And is that a bird taking off near the bottom?
Love the silhouettes, btw.

I thank you. I tried to keep the foreground clutter down to minimum. I think it was probably a pigeon, disturbed by my clicks.

It’s a beautiful photo. But my curiosity sits with the bird. Do you know what it is?

I think it was a pigeon. It could have been a seagull, but there’s a pigeon has a regular roost on one of the street lamps.

Pigeon makes sense. The only time I have trouble with them is when couples try to nest on my balcony. I highly discourage it from an unfortunate past experience.

It’s too big to be anything other than pigeon or seagull. I don’t have problems with breeding pigeons; it’s the gulls are a nuisance.

The breeding isn’t necessarily the problem. It’s the daily “Droppings” <—politeness …that can pile up quickly combined with it's lovely scent in the sun. I'd be happy to host but ..well.

Yep, get what you mean. Get the same thing with the gulls.

At least I know when they’re there if I’m listening. Cooing gets me running LOL Gulls don’t “nest” on our balconies 🙂

You’re lucky. Cos if they did they wouldn’t allow you on it. Need hard hats to go into the courtyard in the summer. I am not kidding. They defend their young, and time comes when those young are down on the ground.

Oh Dear!! I see what you mean!

Nasty vicious creatures. But only in defence of their young, so we must forgive them 🙂

Looks like a lovely sunrise. Sadly we too have buildings in the way of our view!

I had to go out in the car park… annoying, cos the beach is just down the road, but I’d have missed it entirely by the time I got there.
