Photos of winged beings… as seen on our walk on 8th May 2026
Butterflies…
πΌ Green-veined White π½ Painted Lady, looking rather faded having survived the winter
πΌ Peacock π½ Small White AND a ladybird
πΌ Speckled Wood π½ Male Wall
Other winged beings…
πΌ Blue Tit looking very proud π½ Amber-bummed Bumble bee (no, that’s probably not the proper name for it) β¬ Female Large Red Damsel (that is the proper name for it)
And that, my friends, is all for now.
Next week we head inland to arable rural South Norfolk

Very nice ππΌ pictures

Thank you. In truth, it wasn’t the most relaxing walk! The day turned very hot. Just as we had a hill to trundle up π€π€ͺ
